Bios
Farnaz is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Linktree. Prior to that, she was a Vice President of Engineering at Snap, where she has worked on a range of technologies: from Monetization to Snap's Platform Engineering, Camera and AR and Growth. Besides building, she enjoys advising other founders and investing in technology. Farnaz' first gig out of grad school was a fun 10-year run at Google focused on AdTech. She has made well over 40 angel investments, primarily in fintech, AI and Robotics, as well as biotech.
She grew up in Tehran and brought her love of outdoors and mountains to the hills of Santa Monica when she came to LA for grad school. On a typical weekend, you will find her hiking or visiting an art gallery in sunny Los Angeles.
Ben is a General Partner & Co-Founder at Side Stage Ventures. Ben was previously the Co-Founder of Platoon, a platform for creative talent which he built and then sold to Apple in 2018. He then spent over three years in the Software & Services team at Apple integrating & scaling the business. Prior to starting Platoon, Ben was the first employee at UK Seed fund, LocalGlobe which is focussed on backing the best emerging companies in the UK and Europe. LocalGlobe has backed several breakout companies at seed including Wise, TravelPerk and Robinhood and according to Dealroom is the leading Seed fund in Europe.
