​Could this be the most boring drawing call in the world, ever?

​Possibly not!

You may think it sounds boring to join a drawing call where we draw rocks and stones, but it might not be boring. And you might enjoy it. And you may even find it useful.
We can hope...

I have to confess that I have an ulterior motive to get us together to draw rocks: one hurdle I'm facing in my current dummy book is that I have to create at least one double-page illustration mainly featuring rocks, and I therefore feel that it's necessary to go through the whole process of drawing rocks realistically and gradually simplifying them until they become characters in their own right - and fit my picture book.
And I wanted to drag you all with me.

​So please join me (even if it's just to keep me company) as I gather inspiration from other illustrators and artists, play with materials, draw a load of rocks, and hopefully make little characters out of them.
