NYC Meet Up # 13: Intentional Connections - Making Networking Work for You

​Does networking feel like something you’re supposed to do, or something you actually want to do? What gets in the way of it feeling good? And how can we shift that?

Networking looks different depending on where you are in your career and what’s going on in your life. Sometimes it's about finding a job. Other times, it's just about maintaining connection whilst balancing everything else you’re juggling. It can feel energizing or exhausting. Sometimes both.

This session is a chance to think deeply about what networking means to you right now. We’ll talk about why it can feel awkward or hard to prioritize, and what it might look like if it felt a little easier. A little more like you.

There will be time for real conversation, reflection, and connecting with others in the room. You’ll leave with:

​This session will be led by Sally Bolig, Director of Talent Acquisition and Development at HopSkipDrive, and Rebecca Millsop, Lead Learning Consultant at Cegos US. Both have built powerful personal and professional communities by approaching networking as an ongoing practice—not a one-time performance. Between them, they’ve used it to find new jobs, open unexpected doors, and form lasting friendships. They’re excited to share what they’ve learned and hear how it’s shown up in your journey, too.
