About Event

​South Park Commons is delighted to host Spencer Kimball, co-founder and CEO of Cockroach Labs, as part of our -1 to Now series. 

​Doors open at 5:30pm. Event starts at 6:00pm and ends at 7:00pm. Open to members, alums and friends of South Park Commons.

📢 -1 to Now is a recurring speaker series at South Park Commons exploring how the world's best builders and thinkers took their ideas from -1 to 0 and beyond. Join us for the inside stories of their experiments, pivots, and breakthroughs on the way to where they are today.

​Spencer Kimball is the co-founder and CEO of Cockroach Labs, where he maintains a delicate balance between a love for programming distributed systems and the excitement of helping the company grow smoothly. While in university, he was one of the original authors of the GIMP. He cut his teeth on databases during the dot com heyday, and had a front row seat at Google for a decade’s worth of their evolution.
