Spark a Connection! (GenWell Weekend 2022)
Are you missing in-person connections?
What: This is your opportunity to join me in playing SPARK, a card game with questions to spark meaningful conversations and connections. Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet, and you never know how any connection can transform your life!
Where: We will be meeting at the Work Nicer Coworking Space, and I will have a room booked out for us. Registration is limited.
Who: This is for anyone who is wanting to make meaningful connections with new people - it's okay if you feel rusty with your social skills or feel a bit awkward when it comes to reconnecting with people face-to-face.
Your Host
Richard Lee-Thai (TEDx Speaker & Connection Coach)
Hey! I'm a TEDx Speaker who delivered a talk entitled “How to Find Excuses to Connect" which outlines how people can make meaningful connections easier. I am the Founder of Excuses to Connect, a business focused on building connections through one-on-one coaching, podcasting, public speaking, and merchandise. As a Connection Coach, I support individuals and organizations with building their social confidence and fostering communities where everyone feels like they belong. My philosophy on life is captured in his motto: "You never know how any connection can transform your life."
My ultimate vision is to empower and connect Connectors, and together, we can transform our lives and the lives of others, one connection at a time.
Do you know about GenWell Weekend?
This event is being hosted as part of the GenWell Weekend happening from May 6-8th, 2022!
Created by the GenWell Project, GenWell Weekends are strategically selected weekends when research suggests that people may benefit most from an opportunity to get connected with others.
By rallying 37.5 million Canadians to connect at the same time, they provide an excuse and a catalytic period, which can help those who may struggle to reach out and a reminder for those who find it easy. After a two-year global pandemic, they aim to educate, empower and catalyze Canadians to build healthier connection habits each and everyday.
