About Event

To promote the diversification of Ethereum nodes, Ethereum Singapore brings you a sharing session on staking! We will be looking specifically at solo-staking and how individuals can do so from the comfort of their own homes.

This is in support of the "Run a Node" grants round, which is organized by the Ethereum Foundation's Ecosystem Support Program.

This event will be a hybrid one, where we will have a physical sharing followed by a virtual one. Individuals who are located in Singapore are welcome to come down to the physical venue where we will also be streaming the online sharing.

To our friends from the region, we can't wait to see you online!

Join us for an insightful sharing by industry experts and experienced solo-stakers!

Speakers

Samuel Chong, Founder, Stakesaurus

Samuel is a self-taught Ethereum node operator and runs Stakesaurus - helping aspiring home-stakers get started with their first Ethereum validator node in a truly self-custodial manner. Samuel is also a CFA charterholder and spent 5 years as a SEA-focused venture capital investor at TNB Aura.

Dias Lonappan, CTO, CACHE

Dias is the CTO at CACHE, an asset backed tokenization firm based in SG. He is a solo staker since genesis and a SafeDAO guardian. He teaches solidity & participates in hackathons in his spare time.

Calvin Zhou, Head of Staking, RockX

Calvin has over 15 years of expertise in cloud computing, DevSecOps, blockchain engineering, software architecture, and solutions development. With a deep understanding of the industry, he specializes in building centralized exchanges (CEX), secure wallets, and robust validators. Calvin's proficiency in these areas, combined with his knowledge of cutting-edge technologies, allows him to create innovative solutions that drive efficiency and security in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Nixo, Executive Director, EthStaker

Nixo is an Ethereum advocate, educator, and staker. Her principal aim is to help guide Ethereum’s growth in an ethos-driven direction, keeping it decentralized, resistant to capture, and beneficial for a maximally diverse set of people. She has spent the last year and a half supporting the EthStaker community in order to increase the strength of the validator set and staking tools. Prior to EthStaker, she was an academic research scientist.

Pol Lanski, COO, Dappnode

Pol Lanski is a blockchain industry veteran and decentralization maximalist. Lanski has been active in the space since 2014, starting out by mining dogecoin because he was late to mining big papa Bitcoin. He is currently the project lead at Dappnode, the easiest way to run web3 nodes, and a builder at dOrg, the first DAO ever registered as an LLC. He hosts the dOrg Hot seat podcast too! In addition, Lanski has played a key role in launching several groundbreaking projects, including Hermez (now Polygon zkEVM) and Giveth, and was teaching tokenomics and ecosystem design at DAOEducation.
