About Event

Confucius is quoted as saying “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”.

There are many benefits of being passionate about what you do for a living. Nevertheless, many teens and young adults struggle with finding that thing that makes them happy and could become their career someday.

Either because other people have expectations on them (ie. going to college, join family’s company) or because teens think that they only can be passionate about the things they are good at (ie. you are good at math, you should be an engineer, etc.); discovering their passions might be a daunting task without the right guidance.

In this talk, we will discuss how technology might help enable discovery of new interests and inspire students to explore opportunities at their learning path.

- Why is it so hard for students to find their passion?
- How might we enable students to discover new interests and what they are truly passionate about?
- How might we help students to choose careers aligned with their passions and skills?
- How technology it’s (and will ) play a major role?
- What does passion have to do with career?
- Why is it sometimes daunting to choose a major?
- When choosing an area to study, what factors should students consider?
- What are educational institutions doing to help students find their paths?
- How do you expand outside of your comfort zone, or immediate circle of familiarity?
