✨💛 Bali Mangrove Trip | May
Welcome to our Bali Mangrove Trip for May!
Mangroves play a vital role in protecting shorelines from strong waves and erosion. They support rich biodiversity by providing breeding and nursery grounds for fish, crabs, and other marine life, benefiting local fisheries and livelihoods. Mangroves also help safeguard communities and infrastructure. Additionally, they absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide, making them key allies in the fight against climate change.
This trip will be led by mangrove and biodiversity expert, Jared Moore. During the trip, we will learn about the mangrove ecosystem, restoration efforts, hydrology patterns, threats to mangroves, and their connection to climate change, as well as everything in between.
Our gatherings are a fun way to make new friends and chat about all topics, including climate. See a summary of our past events here
