The purpose of the Singapore Connect series is to connect WA scale-up ventures to the Singapore market (and further into ASEAN).

Our aim is to help those WA scaleups, that have capability, capacity and interest in the Singapore markets, to connect them to prospective markets and funders.

The Singapore Connect series is being delivered in collaboration by the Singapore Chamber of Commerce WA, Westpac, Steinepreis Paganin and Perth Angels.

Following our successful kick-off session on The Market Opportunity and Challenges in Perth and Singapore, we are pleased to present our second session in the series:

The Funding Landscape in Singapore

  • An overview of the VC and private equity funding landscape in Singapore Early stage vs mid/late stage VC funding requirements

  • Availability of VC funding for digital vs deep tech startups in Singapore

  • Types of deep tech funding startups that may attract capital in Singapore (therapeutics and climate change)

  • Grants in the domestic ecosystem, and requirements to tap into local grants

  • Academic-industry consortiums/partnerships to promote innovation activities in Singapore

Ms Liya Dashkinsa

Head of Investor Relations & Investment Operations, Reinventure Group who will overview:

  • What Venture Capital Firms, such as Reinventure Group, look for in investment opportunities - how do you position yourself to connect with them

  • Some examples of ventures in their portfolio

At the conclusion of this session, we will open invitations for interested scale-ups to express interest to take part of a preparation and selection process to join a select group to Pitch for Connections in Singapore later in 2022.
