Discovery AI Agent Hackathon - Exa x Anthropic x AWS x Lightspeed
Your Mission
Can AI agents discover new science?
In this hackathon, your mission is to use AI agents to discover something novel about the world.
These days agents like Claude can run for minutes or hours and use tools like web search and terminals. We believe these systems are now smart enough to legitimately make novel discoveries.
Some example ideas for inspiration:
have an agent read hundreds of arxiv papers until it finds a AI research idea that it verifies has never been thought before
Scan images from google maps in the Amazon rainforest to find evidence of structures never before seen
process thousands of reddit comments about skin care and what they ate to figure if there's some miracle food (I'm betting on bananas)
You up for the challenge? If you win you don't just get a cool prize, you get to be the first in human history to demonstrate something new.
