About the Speakers
John Laughlin - Ngen CTO
John Laughlin joins NGen from the UK, where he led R&D strategies at Innovate UK, managing $8.5 billion in government programmes across automotive, aerospace, and intelligent mobility.
Previously, he held senior engineering and programme management roles at Visteon, working with major automakers, and contributed to London’s 2012 Olympic Transport Strategy at London Underground. He co-founded Appleseed Solutions, helped shape the UK Automotive Council’s Strategic Product Roadmap, and advised on Nesta’s Drones Flying High Challenge. As Launch Manager, he helped establish Zenzic, driving R&D investment in connected and autonomous vehicles.
John holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Manufacturing Systems Management, a Diploma in Industrial Studies, and is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the IET, and an accredited IP advisor.
Mitch Debora – Co-Founder & CEO, Mosaic Manufacturing
Mitch Debora is the Co-Founder and CEO of Mosaic Manufacturing, a company transforming supply chains with automated additive manufacturing. A serial entrepreneur, Mitch previously founded and exited Vivid 3D before launching Mosaic in 2014. With a background in mechanical and materials engineering, he blends technical expertise with a passion for finance, intellectual property, and product design. Under his leadership, Mosaic has pioneered factory-connected 3D printing solutions that enable scalable, on-demand production. Mitch is an advisor and speaker on additive manufacturing and supply chain resilience and serves as an AM Advisory Board Member at Next Generation Manufacturing Canada.

As President of ImagineQ Inc., he drives innovation, investment, and workforce development across industries. Formerly CTO of APMA, Colin led Project Arrow, Canada’s first all-electric vehicle prototype, helping attract $40B+ in investments. His expertise spans cybersecurity, smart infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and clean energy. He is currently pioneering Canada’s first production-ready open-source humanoid robot.
