About Event

Influence is one of the most vital skills you need as a PM: your ability or inability to influence your co-workers can literally be the difference between a great product outcome and a disappointing outcome.

In this free seminar, Shreyas will share principles and tactics for influencing peers and stakeholders when building products. Shreyas will focus more on advanced influence concepts and will skip the basics that most product people are already aware of such as build empathy for peers, assume good intent, repeat their point of view, take time to connect at a personal level, etc. etc.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:
- How to build more alignment & trust with peers and cross-functional teams
- Specific words and phrases that help you navigate conflict and tough conversations
- Additional recommended resources to master the skill of Influence
- Live demos from Shreyas that put some of these principles & tactics in practice (in the Q&A section)

Note: While a lot of the ideas in this seminar will also apply to influencing execs and managing up, this seminar is not dedicated to that topic. That is a vast topic by itself that requires a dedicated seminar or multi-day course. You should probably not register for this seminar if you are solely seeking guidance on how to influence your upper management & executives.

WHO THIS IS FOR:
- Senior Product Managers
- PM leaders (GPM, Director, VP, CPO, etc.)
- Other senior folks who work on products and need to influence peers & stakeholders e.g. Engineering Managers, Technical Program Managers, Tech Leads, Designers, Data Scientists, Product Ops, etc.

WHO THIS IS NOT FOR:
- Aspiring PMs
- Very early career PMs

This seminar assumes that attendees have a reasonable amount of experience building products and working with cross-functional teams (at least 2-3 years).

The presentation will be followed by a moderated Q&A session based on audience questions.

Capacity is limited to 1000 participants on Zoom, so register early to maximize odds of getting a spot for the live event.

The event will be recorded, but the recording will NOT be shared publicly. You MUST register to receive a link to the recording.

There is no fee for joining this seminar.

Note: if you have previously registered for this seminar on LinkedIn, you're all good - you do not need to register here on Luma again.
