​Sharesies Army Planting Action Day

​Our team at Sharesies has partnered with CarbonInvoice to bring you something special - the first ever Sharesies Planting Action Day! This day is part of our commitment to being "for profit, for purpose", doing good locally and and supporting our B Corp recertification. We want our Sharesies whānau to help us plant well over 500 native trees! 🌳🌳🌳🌳

​What's it all about?

​We're teaming up with the awesome team at CarbonInvoice for an unforgettable day of native tree planting, good vibes, and great company. This isn't your typical corporate event - we're getting our hands dirty, planting hundreds of native trees as part of our sustainability journey and B Corp commitment.

​It's your chance to escape the desk, connect with your Sharesies teammates, and actually make a tangible impact while having a blast doing it. Plus, you can use your annual volunteer day hours for this - no need to take leave!

​This is not just another Friday. This is your chance to:

​The itinerary:

• ​10:30 AM → Meet at planting site (45 mins from city; transport details to follow)

• ​10:30 AM - 11:00 AM → Official welcome by the Sharesies leadership team, site introduction, health and safety, planting demo

• ​11:00 AM - 1:30 PM → Tree Planting Action 🌳

• ​1:30 PM - 1:45 PM → Group photo, declare victory & prize-giving

• ​1:45 PM - 2:30 PM → BBQ lunch & networking 🌭

• ​After 2:30 PM → Return to Wellington city (45 mins back to city)

​What's to expect?

• ​Something different from typical corporate events - this is impactful and generates authentic content for our B Corp story and sustainability commitments.

• ​Guided tree planting led by local experts at the beautiful Catchpool Valley where 500+ native trees will be planted.

• ​A little friendly competition – prizes for most trees planted, best team effort, and most enthusiastic planter.

• ​Quality time with your Sharesies teammates from all offices in a setting that creates natural conversation and team bonding.

• ​Photos and video from the day will be shared with all attendees - perfect content for our B Corp recertification and to showcase Sharesies' commitment to local environmental restoration and mitigating our carbon footprint

• ​Music and good vibes throughout the planting activity.

• ​Minimal effort required - we handle everything from logistics to equipment, you simply need to show up.

• ​Refillable water bottle (water and refreshments on site)

• ​Sturdy, comfortable footwear (gumboots, boots ideal)

• ​Lightweight long sleeved clothing and trousers

• ​Rain jacket and hat

​No planting experience needed – just bring the energy! Everyone can plant a tree, so come and plant with your Sharesies whānau as we live our "for profit, for purpose" values.
