​It's been a really long time since the local UX community in the Los Angeles area has met up in person. And frankly, we don't really know how comfortable people will be to meet in person. Guess we'll find out!

​The San Gabriel Valley User Experience Meetup is hosting our first in-person UX meetup since March 2020 over dim sum!

​Being that it's dim sum, we're meeting Saturday morning as early as the restaurant opens. Expect a small wait.

​What to expect

​First time with dimsum?

​If you've never had dimsum before, don't fret! We'll cover the first-timer's experience of dim sum, from noisy Chinese restaurants, waiting in lines, chasing after waiters (Sea Harbour doesn't do carts).

​If you have allergies, you are warned. Dimsum is not friendly for people with gluten, nut, soy, and shrimp allergies.

​How would I find you?

​If we are seated before you arrive, we'll voluntell someone to stand by the door to direct you to our table(s).

​If you arrive early and no one's been seated yet, look for Grace, Justin, or Kao. We'll have expectant and friendly expressions as we search the faces of people waiting outside for familiar faces. If we've never met before or wouldn't be able to recognize us behind face masks, we may hold SGVUX signs.

​Can I get a refund?

​Payment is expected when you arrive. No refunds. Any proceeds will benefit DIA Design Guild and supports the overhead expenses of maintaining the pro-bono apprentice program and our monthly events.
