​Talk: Give People a Reason to Join Your Community
No matter what kind of product you have — open source project, proprietary developer tool, motorcycle, exercise equipment — if you want to build a community you have to give people a reason to join the community that goes beyond the value they get from anonymously using the product. In this talk, Emily Omier will talk about how to intentionally position your community, including isolating the unique value that people will get from being active community members that they can’t get any other way. Attendees will leave with actionable steps to take to put these marketing fundamentals in place and ultimately accelerate their communities’ growth.
