When Victor asked me to think about creating a newsletter, I wasn't sure what to write about. But what better way to get to know someone than to know what they like :)

Top 3 NYC Spots for Community:
🌳 Elizabeth Street Garden (Elizabeth St, New York, NY 10012) This place embodies community. Due to a recent city council hearing, now they're fighting to keep it .
☕️ Pause Cafe (3 Clinton St, New York, NY 10002) I don't think I've ever been here and not seen strangers chatting. They also have an amazing chai.
🏝 Governors Island (Governors Island, New York, NY 10004) This was my favorite spot to volunteer. Easily the nicest people you'll meet while pulling Mugwart <3.

🍁 August – Taylor Swift I'm ready to get into the fall spirit. Flannel or nothin'.
✨ Star-crossed – Kacey Musgraves That initial harmony?! Yeah, I bought that concert ticket.
💃 Rooftop Dancing – Sylvian Esso Okay, maybe I take back giving up summer so easy. I might be looking for one more rooftop dance before it's too cold :).
Top 3 Documentaries:
🚴‍♂️ Icarus - watch "When filmmaker Bryan Fogel sets out to uncover the truth about doping in sports, a chance meeting with a Russian scientist transforms his story from a personal experiment into a geopolitical thriller."
I'm not a huge sports fan (oops), but this blew my mind. Such an interesting conversation on how far we go to be great.
🍄 Fantastic Fungi - watch "A descriptive time-lapse journey about the magical, mysterious and medicinal world of fungi and their power to heal, sustain and contribute to the regeneration of life on Earth that began 3.5 billion years ago."
Okay, this was just fun for me. Super sweet and very sleepy – enjoy this with a cup of tea.
🏕 Crip Camp – watch "A groundbreaking summer camp galvanizes a group of teens with disabilities to help build a movement, forging a new path toward greater equality."
Great, really moving story about community. Watch before the summer is up ♥️
