localhost:0007 Co-Working Session
localhost is a live co-working session hosted on Saturdays to bring together people who want to make stuff.
When/Where:
Location: iDendron (Near HKU Station MTR Exit A1)
The hard start is at 1:30. Please be on time!
1:30 PM- 1:45 PM - Beginning introductions
1:45 PM - 2:45 PM - Demos2:45 PM onwards (optional) - Deep work session
What's this?
A group of people sharing their updates/introductions on their projects, giving each other feedback
We will have 3-minute demos, talking about what you have been working on and what you want to achieve. We want to see and encourage PROGRESS! Don't worry if you aren't 'pitch ready.'
The project you work on can be anything! Ex. coding an app, knitting, making beats, painting custom shoes - as long as its something you want to do and not your main "project" (that means no school work if you're a student, no job work if you're employed)
Afterwards, we have a co-working session (optional) to keep ourselves accountable, working in sessions/pomodoros of 50 minutes of work and 10 mins of break time (it works, trust us)
Who's it for?
For people willing to work on anything other than their main "project" (that means no school work if you're a student, no job work if you're employed)
Why:
We've been procrastinating too much on our side projects even though we have so much fun doing them - it feels like we're not alone in this, and want to keep others accountable for working on what they're passionate about
Snacks:
We'll provide some snacks and coffee!
Rules/guidelines on how to act:
DO NOT work on your main thing (school or your job) - if you don't know what to work on, I'm sure we can help you find something
Act like a host, include people in conversations, talk to people even if they're strangers, offer to help out and clean up, don't network if you're here to network, I will be so sad, come to build cool stuff.
This is not a networking session, its a community of diven people working on projects.
