Novus Capital's Padel Office Hours
Welcome to Novus Capital's FIRST Padel Office Hours!
What is Office Hours?
Office Hours is an informal event between Founders and Investors where they can connect to discuss topics such as fundraising, building a company, and receiving feedback.
We wanted to combine this with something fun and new. Padel is the fastest-growing sport in the UK and is a great activity to include everyone and anyone - therefore why don't we try and combine them?
Who can attend?
Active Investors - Individuals or businesses who are actively looking to invest in start-ups or scale-ups
Fundraising Founders - We're looking for ambitious founders who are raising their next funding round and want to meet investors a little bit differently...
We are aiming to have one person per organisation.
How will the event work?
Once we've chosen the 24 players, Novus Capital will pair a Founder with an Investor to form a team.
We will then have 12 teams playing in a Round Robin style, with the winning team receiving a prize.
There will be 2 hours of Padel time and we'll then look to a small, quick-fire pitch session.
There'll then be some time at the end of the event for Networking to enjoy a well-deserved beverage!
When will I find out if I can go to the event?
We will be choosing players on 29th November and you will receive an email to say you've been accepted.
If you haven't been accepted due to the high demand of places, we are hoping to run more of these informal Office Hour events and we will make sure you're a priority for the next one!
If I register, will payment be taken straight away?
Payment will not be taken until you've been accepted for the event. There will be a hold on the ticket price until you've been accepted, but if you haven't been chosen to come, the hold will be reverted and no money will be taken.
Is the venue easy to get to?
The venue is a 5-minute walk away from Hornbeam Park station, so easily accessible by train.
There is ample car parking available at the venue but also surrounding areas as it's situated in a Business Park.
Can I work from the venue?
Of course, there's an area to work if needed with WiFi. I understand some people might be travelling from a far to come to the event; you're welcome to arrive earlier and work in the Lobby.
We will be randomly selecting the 24 participants in early December.
