State of Reporting in 2025: What Every Climate Professional Needs to Know
Join Julia Akker, Associate Director of OnePointFive, for an update on the state of reporting, covering the key drivers of sustainability & climate disclosures in 2025, including IFRS S1 & S2, CSRD, update on US regulations, and more.
With global regulations tightening, companies must navigate an increasingly complex reporting environment. This session will break down key attributes and requirements of global regulations and standards, such as:
The IFRS Sustainability and Climate-Related Disclosures (S1 & S2), which have already been adopted or are planned for adoption by 30+ jurisdictions around the world
The EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which requires sustainability disclosures for companies operating in the EU, including double materiality assessments, third-party assurance, and more
The EU’s Omnibus, which proposes simplified reporting requirements to the CSRD, and other regulations like the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the world’s first carbon tariff
California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253) and the Climate-Related Financial Risk Act (SB 261), landmark state-driven pieces of legislation that are paving the way for other states to follow suit, such as Washington, New York, Illinois, and Minnesota
The session will also touch on the state of US federal climate policies, such as the SEC Climate Disclosure Rule, and implications with the new Trump administration.
