Jewish Literary Dinner: Jewish in 2025
May is Jewish American heritage month and I've been recently reflecting on what it means to inherit, reimagine and embody jewish identity today.
We're hosting a literary dinner that asks: What does it mean to be Jewish in this moment? What texts shape your identity, your rituals, your questions and perspectives? Let’s gather in intentional Jewish community and talk about it!
📖 Bring a book or excerpt that’s shaping your understanding of your Jewishness today—something that challenges you, grounds you, or makes you feel seen. We’ll share a meal and guided conversation, reflecting together on the texts and experiences that shape who we are.
🍽️ We’re gathering in the private wine cellar at Balaboosta, a Jewish-owned restaurant known for its soulful Mediterranean cuisine. Expect a delicious meal, thoughtful conversation and meaningful, nuanced discussion.
Open to Jewish-identifying readers.
All expressions of Jewish identity are welcome—religious, cultural, questioning, and everything in between. 💫
Ticket includes dinner, drink(s), and guided programming.
