Drawing Club: the Human Figure
One of the easiest ways to live more creatively every single day is to use something that is (almost) always available… paper & pencil. Since the dawn of time, humans have been creatively mark making for both purpose and pleasure, but we know how hard it can be to pick a that pencil back up (enter: drawing club).
At drawing club, we’ll collectively leave our drawing baggage, perfectionism and inner critics at the door— embracing a spirit of exploration and play, together.
This month, we'll be drawing the human form! We'll begin with a warm up and move through a series of short and longer poses with a live semi-nude model. This is not an instructed class, but rather a chance for you to put charcoal to paper and in community. Drawers of all skill levels, professions and backgrounds are welcome here, and will find a breath of fresh air in the opportunity to experiment alongside other creative-minded folk.
All art materials + a beverage included, but please feel free to bring your own drawing pad or dry art materials.

What can I expect from a club at RecCreate?
We design all of our clubs at RecCreate to feel like going over to a friends apartment for a craft hang where they took care of grabbing all the materials and show you the basics before the music starts bumping! Our emphasis is on process, play and community building, with conversation prompts throughout.
Getting Here
The venue is a ~hidden~ art studio located at 20 Grand ave in brooklyn on the 6th floor of a commercial building! When you arrive, buzz #604, push to open and take the elevator up to 6 (push the elevator button until it turns red.!!) Take a right out of the elevator, and a left at the end of the hallway. The door will be the first one on your right.
Cancelation Policy
Unfortunately for this event tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or swap it on our ticket swap board. Just tell them to use your name!

Age Restriction & Dogs
All guests must be 18+ to attend and though we love your pups, unfortunately cannot have them in the studio!
