About Event

​Finally a weekend event! Come catch up on that novel you've been meaning to finish while squeezing in one last beach day before the season is over.

  • ​​There is a $10 parking fee per car.

  • ​​10-15 books will be available to swap if you end up finishing or not enjoying the book you brought.

  • ​​BYOBeach chair/blanket/towel, food and water. There will be some light snacks available.

​​Location is accessible via Babylon LIRR line (Freeport stop) and the N88x (Jones Beach East Bath stop). If you're interested in car pooling please feel free to reach out. We will have a cars coming form Eastern Queens and some cars from the Hempstead area.

​​LongDistanceReads started out as an Instagram account dedicated to reviewing books and grew into a book based mutual aid project. Our ultimate goal is to diversity the shelves in our community by focusing on Queer/BIPOC authors but to also facilitate community through our shared love of reading.
