Co-Organizer: Cheryl Loh (COCO LAB)
Cheryl Loh leads COCO LAB, a people and AI transformation management company, helping Fortune 500 companies innovate at the intersection of science, technology, and human empathy.
In 2018, she co-authored 'A Test for Artificial Empathy' paper with New York University (NYU) and former Harvard professor Adam Brandenburger, and worked with Hanson Robotics to explore bringing human-centered and nonviolent communication into Sophia the Humanoid Robot's conversational AI.

Dr. James Ong has 4 decades of industry, venture and academic experience. He founded Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), a think tank advocating Sustainable AI for Humanity and is co-author of “AI for Humanity”. He is an Adjunct Professor at SUTD and AI Mega Centre and lectures at various universities including NUS, NTU, SUTD, SUSS, SMU and UTAR, Member of SRAC at the National Supercomputing Centre Singapore (NSCC), Head of AI at Global Fintech Institute (GFI) and Founding Member of the Singapore IGF. He is also CEO of Origami Frontiers and Venture Partner at Delight Capital. He received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin specializing in AI for Governance.
Laurence Liew is the Director for AI Innovation at AI Singapore. He is the driving force behind AI Singapore’s impactful initiatives aimed at propelling AI adoption across industries and democratising AI knowledge for everyone. Laurence’s passion for making AI accessible to all is evident in his leadership of the LearnAI initiative.His commitment to democratising AI extends beyond Singapore’s borders, as he co-chairs the Global Partnership on AI’s (GPAI) project on Broad Adoption of AI by SMEs, leading international efforts to empower businesses of all sizes with the transformative power of AI.
Paulo Italiani is an industrial and automotive designer and innovator, creative catalyst, and lecturer with 10+ years across Brazil, Italy, U.S., and China. His multi-awarded product, vehicle, and furniture designs are featured in global exhibitions and publications. He also holds appointment as Chief Innovation Officer at Elation Hypercars, a Silicon Valley electric hypercar startup. And as advisor at the Artificial Intelligence International Institute 'AI for Humanity' think-tank, advocating for empathetic, human-centered robotics design.
