Silent Beach Reads

​Come through after work to catch up on that novel you've been meaning to finish while enjoying the ocean breeze and the late summer sunset.

• ​​No entrance fee for the beach at this time.

• ​​10-15 books will be available to swap if you end up finishing or not enjoying the book you brought.

• ​​A limited number of reading lights are available for use once the sun goes down. We strongly recommend bringing your own if you plan to stay late.

​​LongDistanceReads started out as an Instagram account dedicated to reviewing books and grew into a book based mutual aid project. Our ultimate goal is to diversity the shelves in our community by focusing on Queer/BIPOC authors but to also facilitate community through our shared love of reading.
