Empower Up: Empowering the Video Game Industry to be Stronger and more Inclusive for Everyone
#RaiseTheGame and the National Videogame Museum would love to invite you to our networking mixer event. We will explore how empowering diversity and inclusion as strategic foundations can make the video game industry stronger, accessible and more inclusive for everyone.
The evening will feature a panel discussion of game industry professionals and academics from across the ecosystem who each will have their own story to share about inclusive practices the video game industry can nurture. Whether that’s from the lens of providing women with greater representation on screen and in the workplace, developing environments and workplaces where everyone has a sense of belonging, or fostering transferable skills that allow everyone an opportunity to grow and develop in their career.
The event will conclude with networking within a space that exemplifies the cultural value videogames have to offer: the National Videogame Museum.
Agenda for event:
Doors Open & Welcome In Guests – 5pm
Free drinks available upon arrival.
Network with other guests and check out the museum's interactable displays.
Speech & Panel – 5:30pm
A quick speech to welcome and thank everyone for coming, that leads into the main panel discussion.
Networking – Between 6:30pm to 7:45pm
Panel concludes, allowing guests to chat to panellists and continue networking alongside checking out museum's interactable displays.
End – 8pm

There will be a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available to attendees of the event. There will be no food at the event, however there are a range of restaurants and takeaways close by for guests to check out before or after the event.
Are students, freelancers and those not working in the games industry welcome to the event?
Absolutely, both #RaiseTheGame and the National Videogame Museum strive to ensure our events are inclusive, impactful and welcome people from different backgrounds to attend by creating safe environments for people to network, be inspired and have fun.
