Following the Footprints x Nudie Jeans: The Future of Responsible Consumption
Today’s leading consumer brands are thinking about the impact of their actions on tomorrow’s world.
Consumption, globally, is at an all time high - far beyond our means to sustain it. This year Earth Overshoot Day, the date where our demand for ecological resources exceeds what Earth can regenerate in a year, falls on 1st August. Every brand on our shelves should be working to push that date back. Many aren’t.
Join Following the Footprints, Nudie Jeans and our community of consumer goods leaders for an evening of drinks, discussion and celebration with the brands we believe are leading the way.
We’ll be sharing more about Following the Footprints’ new ‘MITIGATE’ database, brand and website, whilst learning more about Nudie’s mission to ‘Create Tomorrow’s Vintage’. We'll also be opening up to the room - hearing different perspectives on whether consumer brands really can be the champions of a new era for responsible consumption.
Drinks and snacks will be kindly provided by The Uncommon, Belazu, Dalstons, Gipsy Hill and Yep Kitchen.
Following the Footprints: Following the Footprints digs into how consumer goods businesses are innovating to be more sustainable through interviews, weekly newsletters, events, databases and more. We're a volunteer-led and independent platform, by sustainability professionals for sustainability professionals.
Nudie Jeans: We're not just in the business of selling jeans. We're in the business of making them a part of your life, for the long haul. Our wear-and-tear philosophy is all about making sure your jeans live as long as you do, maybe even longer! It's like having a second skin that just gets better with age.
