Climate change is already here, and faster than expected. But climate tech solutions are advancing rapidly too. In just a few decades we need to slash emissions from 60 gigatons to near zero, scale carbon removal to 10 gigatons/year, and manage warming already in the pipeline. Available solutions can do half of the job, and emerging solutions will do the other half.
At Marble, we partner with scientists, engineers, and operators to create companies that solve hard climate problems — to slash emissions, remove carbon from the atmosphere, and cool the planet.
We believe that the subsurface holds many of the solutions we need to reach net zero — think geothermal, geologic hydrogen, CO2 storage, carbon mineralisation, enhanced weathering, marine carbon removal, sustainable recovery of energy transition metals, and the superpowers of subsurface microbes.
Geochemistry is one of the pivotal discipline to unlock that potential, so what better place to host this meetup than the Goldschmidt 2023 Conference!
