Fire Ceremony
-All proceeds go to relief efforts in Western North Carolina -
When so much is happening in the world, this is a time to come together beside the fire. Share personal and collective prayers. Listen beyond our numbness, restore coherence in the midst of chaos. This is the time to pray for ourselves and for those who are most affected by the destruction of the hurricane, the bombing of the Middle East, and the political tensions around us. Now is the time to go down into the earth, to descend into an underground chamber where we can sing and share our stories in solidarity and grounded presence. We can kindle a fire to illuminate the darkness. Let our voices resonate through the earth and touch the places in the world where they are most needed.
Join a community council and an earth-based ceremony. Awaken messages from below the surface. Share your stories and bring your instruments. Sing in Spanish, English and traditional languages. Drink cacao, warmed by the fire. Experience hapè - an Amazonian tobacco - to deepen our prayers and collective presence. In times like these, we are challenged to rekindle all that we hold sacred.
