About Event

Breaking Bread. Building Collaborations.

Plates & Partnerships is a curated potluck meetup designed for Nairobi’s community managers, engagement leads, and ecosystem enablers. This gathering offers a relaxed, intentional space to connect, reflect, and collaborate with fellow community builders who power Nairobi’s innovation, creative, and impact spaces.

Over shared food and guided conversation, we’ll explore what’s working in community building, what opportunities lie ahead, and how we can support each other through cross-community collaborations.

What to Expect:

  • Meaningful conversations with peers from innovation hubs, creative spaces, startup networks, and social programs

  • Open-circle dialogues on what fuels successful partnerships — and what gets in the way

  • Potluck-style brunch where everyone contributes a dish or drink

  • Quick-fire idea exchange to spark new initiatives and practical collabs

  • A sense of shared purpose and a WhatsApp group to keep the momentum going

Who Should Attend:

This meetup is ideal for:

  • Community managers in coworking, startup, or innovation spaces

  • Engagement leads in tech hubs, creative collectives, and cultural centers

  • Program managers in social impact, youth, or academic networks

  • Anyone who holds space for communities and fosters connection

What to Bring:

  • A dish or drink to share (homemade or store-bought — both welcome!)

  • One collaboration idea or resource to exchange

  • Your full, generous self

Spaces are limited to 15 participants. RSVP early to secure your seat at the table.

Let’s build what our communities need — together.
