Reverse Pitch - Web3 Edition by OGCLUB
What is Reverse Pitch?
As the name suggests - an event where the ‘investors sell themselves to entrepreneurs.’ This event puts angel investors, syndicates, networks, and VC firms on stage and gives them up to five minutes to deliver their elevator pitch to entrepreneurs.
The structure of the event would include a 5-minute demo/pitch by each of the angel investors and representatives from VC Firms. The pitch would include Operational Experience, Ticket Size, Sectors in web3, Investment Thesis and Portfolio, and value addition beyond the capital.
In turn, entrepreneurs will submit questions while the organizing team will select the best one for each investor. The question would be asked after every pitch, followed by an informal one-on-one networking session between Startups and Investors.
The core purpose of Reverse Pitch is to provide a fairly transparent platform where both investors and entrepreneurs get to see the best among each other, and thereby develop relationships that can contribute to a very healthy ecosystem.
Background & History
We introduced ReversePitch in India for the first time in 2012 and became an instant hit. The first edition attracted 23 investors and 35 founders. The ecosystem witnessed for the first time that the tables were turned and investors were pitching to founders. That was the beginning of web2 in India.

Why does the Indian startup ecosystem need it back?
Web3 is upon us and it is changing the way we interact, collaborate, pay, send money & play games. The ecosystem is new and just like a decade back this nascent ecosystem requires a level playing field. Hence we are bringing ReversePitch back and doing the first event in Bangalore.
