The Artist's Way Support Group [free]
Weekly Check-in + Support
This is a support group for all artists + creatives to check-in, share resources, joys, challenges, community, and most importantly love. This group is rooted in love, care, and support.
This support is open to all ~ those who are interested in working on their creative selves, those who are curious about the book "The Artist's Way," those who are needing a bit of accountability & community & want to feel inspired by others, those who want to take on the 12+ week Artist Way Journey ...
What you can expect in these weekly sessions:
1) We begin slowly with relaxing music and a reflection question for personal journaling time ~ to settle into ourselves & check-in with our person
2) Then, we go around the Zoom Room circle & share how our week went (joys, challenges, resources, goals, morning pages, artist dates + more)
Testimonies:
"The Artists way support group Monday nights, were key for me to finish the Artists way book. The accountability, and community helped make the process more enjoyable and the commitment more serious. Some weeks are tough and there’s a lot of feelings of shame and grief around coming back to an art practice. Everyone in the group is super encouraging, and it’s the external support that helps fight off perfectionism and shame."
"The Artist's Way was on my bookshelf for years. Morgan had suggested it and I had read a few chapters and did some of the tasks then put it down. When she offered this group to go through the book, I was excited to pick it back up again. I have always had trouble being creative on my own, at home."
"The Lava Lamp Lounge is a place that nurtures the inner artist. Morgan facilitates a creative community through her enthusiastic care of fellow artists. Each Monday night virtual session gives a sense of belonging and friendship. Morgan provides a safe and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable to share their experiences."
These sessions are inspired by the book:
The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
by: Julia Cameron
For me, I've started this book four times in my own personal artist journey ~ the first time I started it and completed the journey saved my life ... saved my art practice ... allowed me to nourish & deepen my relationship to my artist self ... it revolutionized everything for me.
Each time I've picked up this book & dedicated time to it I have felt & seen results that have taught me so much ... each journey is different & I have found tremendous help when working within this book alongside others ... ACCOUNTABILITY & COMMUNITY is key!
Even if it's a "hey, how did your week go" in a gentle, loving, caring way that is without judgement ... folks who have completed this journey keep coming back to this Monday night session to share what creative resources they've been digesting & to connect with this supportive community ...
I leave these sessions feeling energized and inspired.
