About Event

In today’s financial world, focusing on sustainability is no longer optional, it's ESSENTIAL. Nearly 90% of investors have considered ESG as part of their investment approach. That said, ESG Investing is complex and has implications for ALL investment portfolios. Being able to incorporate these factors into investment decisions is critical. Regulations, the market, and growing opportunities make applying climate-related considerations into portfolio valuation and construction an essential skill.

At its core, ESG is about risk and return. Figuring out how to reduce risk, sell products, and return shareholder value with a secondary benefit of helping the planet and its people. If a business sells poisonous fruit, they won't stay in business long. People who work in ESG are helping businesses make better financial decisions which create a positive impact for the planet.

Join Richard McGillivray Senior Director, Global Partnerships and Client Solutions, APAC, CFA Institute, for an educational session on lessons in ESG, why it matters, key trends, barriers, the importance of ESG investing, and what professions might be interested in getting an ESG certificate.

This session is for anyone interested in ESG, ESG Investment certification, investment practitioners, and other professionals who require knowledge and skills to apply climate-related factors in analysis, valuation, and portfolio construction in their day to day roles.
