About Event

Have you been meaning to start a mindfulness practice but haven’t known where to begin? Are you curious about how to incorporate more mindfulness into your daily routine? If so, this session is for you!

Mindfulness practices have been scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve focus and increase well-being. Even better, it is totally free and available to us at any time. 

We are thrilled to welcome back again our speaker and moderator, Vanderbilt Professor and Executive Coach Leonora Zilkha Williamson ‘96. In this one-hour virtual session (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5793392489), she will:

  • Provide a brief overview of the evidence-based impact of a mindfulness practice

  • Offer several different modalities to practice on your own

  • Close with a 20-minute guided mediation

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to deepen your mindfulness practice, this session offers something for everyone.

Meet Leonora Zilkha Williamson ‘96, MBA, PCC

Leonora is a Vanderbilt Professor and Executive Coach who is passionate about facilitating learning for other people. In her coaching work, she works with business leaders and helps family businesses navigate challenges including family dynamics, governance, succession planning, next generation transition and education. From a family-owned business herself, Leonora serves on the board of her family’s boat business, Sabre Yachts, and advises families across generations. She also conducts corporate training for large, public companies, covering topics including Being a Leader-Coach, Communication, and Negotiation.

Leonora is an Associate Professor of the Practice in Vanderbilt University’s Hoogland Undergraduate Business Program, where she teaches Corporate Social Responsibility, ESG and Negotiation. She has also taught at Owen Graduate School of Management, and serves as an advisor in the Ingram Scholars Program. Leonora holds numerous coaching certifications including ICF PCC, and uses modalities including somatics, team coaching, the Enneagram, mindfulness and family systems in her work. Leonora is a member of the Marshall Goldsmith 100 Coaches, the Harvard Institute of Coaching and the Forbes Coaches Council.

Prior to focusing on coaching and teaching, Leonora enjoyed two decades in corporate America working in M&A at JP Morgan in New York and Santiago, Chile; strategy at the Boston Consulting Group in Boston, New York, London and Mexico City; and Estee Lauder, where she oversaw the international division of MAC Cosmetics across 60 countries.

She was ranked Nashville’s #1 Executive Coach by Influence Digest in 2021 and 2022, and named a Nashville Business Journal 2022 Woman of Influences. Leonora earned an AB from Princeton and a MBA from Harvard. She carries 2 passports and speaks 5 languages.
