Conscious Tech Build & Vision Day
Conscious Tech Action Day
Theme: “Re-connections”
Join us for a 2 day design & build jam if the following resonates with you:
What We Believe In:
We would like to define “Conscious Tech” broadly as any transformative technology that improves holistic Human Flourishing on an individual or collective level. That means: anything from neurotech to gen AI, from ancient wisdom practices to modern revival of psychedelic-assisted therapy… any tool that helps us better thrive in our natural and built environments.
As optimistic innovators on Team Human, we want to think mindfully about where tech does and doesn’t belong. We recognize that while the technologies of the past two decades have offered unprecedented conveniences, many have also exacerbated disconnections and imbalances in our world. The current dominant techno-optimist narrative is accelerating this trend.
We want to create space to support people and ideas that are healthy counterweights, enabling a future where Tech and Capital genuinely support humans to realize our highest potentials, and not the other way around. While more systemic changes are also required, we can start somewhere.
On the theme of “Reconnection”, we want to propose three experience design pillars:
Connection with ourselves
Connection with each other
Connection with our planet
The ideas that you design and build would ideally support one of them - moving the needle towards flourishing.
Who Should Attend:
We believe interdisciplinary collaboration is key to this movement. We’d like to welcome participants from diverse backgrounds, including neuroscientists, psychotherapists, engineers, artists, healers, brain-computer-interface (BCI) and human-computer-interaction (HCI) designers, practitioners of ancient wisdom, psychedelic researchers, and innovators of all kinds interested in these topics. If this is you, come join us on Discord (https://discord.gg/vKFj8Hpw).
What Do We Hope To Do:
This weekend is more than a traditional hackathon. It is also part of a movement. While ideas should be tech-enabled (in the broader definition of “technology” offered above), we aspire to provide a mindfully dynamic space to turn ideas into actionable next steps. That means:
Not to rush the launch of functional prototypes in 48 hours
No judges or prizes
Research ideas are equally welcomed as product/ service ideas
Ideas on how to build and further this movement of tech for human flourishing are also welcomed
Who We Are:
The Conscious Tech Collective (CTC) is an interdisciplinary community of scientists, designers, healers, and forward-thinking technologists advocating for human flourishing.
We started gathering weekly in March 2023 as a group of neurotech (BCI) and HCI innovators concerned and curious about the impact of a new wave of transformative technology’s impact on human wellbeing. Over the past 6 months, we’ve expanded the diversity of our group, but converged in our understanding that ensure the technologies that we create help evolve collective consciousness AND to create technology with more conscious intention are our key levers to enact systemic change (our Theory of Change).
Our three pillars of action are:
Focused Research
Thought Leadership and Movement Building
Product Incubation

Some research inspirations:
How Might We define new metrics for success for Human Flourishing that aren't oriented around user engagement and retention?
How Might We design clinical validation for Human Flourishing?
How Might we evaluate the wide swath of hardware for biosensing on the market?
What does the future of hardware devices look like in this space?
What is the role of invasive bio-feedback wearables in wellness?
