Additionally, join us after by signing up for the afternoon Meet & Greet on Oct 13 at Level 4 Seminar Rooms at 4:30 pm (catering provided by Cafe Dose). Registration required for attendance.

​Who is Renn Financial Group

​​Richard is a portfolio manager, car enthusiast and soccer fanatic. Joshua is an insurance expert, and a former Canadian reality T.V show contestant. Together they make up Renn Financial Group; a western Canadian based independent brokerage specializing in insurance, benefits and wealth. Richard and Joshua leverage their experience and expertise to offer real opinions, practical solutions and unmatched virtual events on financial strategies concerning Canadian dental students studying at home and abroad.

​Who is Dr. Rustom Appoo

​After graduating from University of British Columbia dental school in 2000, Dr. Appoo moved to Edmonton where he bought his first dental clinic 7 months out of school. He spent the next 5 years growing the clinic and working on several Alberta reservations before buying his second clinic.  In 2021, he partnered his original 2 clinics with Passion Dental Group and took a position as Director of Clinical Operations (Edmonton and Vancouver).   As well, he currently is the owner/managing partner of 5 dental clinics in the greater Edmonton area and Vancouver and still a practicing dentist. For his latest venture he has joined with Greyhill Venture Partners to start an Oral Care seed stage fund. In 2016, he started Dentistry for a Cause as a means of giving back to those in need (www.dentistryforacause.ca) and continue to be an active philanthropist.
