Reality Check: VC is Dying
Join us on Friday morning at Blue HQ for a candid Reality Check session. This time, we’re dissecting the “death and dying” of venture capital.
We’re in the midst of the worst downturn in VC history. Deals and dollars have plummeted 90% over the past two years. Exits are nonexistent. Startups are collapsing, and VC firms are shutting their doors. Odds are, this may be news to you since 99% of VCs aren't discussing this publicly (but trust us, they’re all whispering about it behind closed doors).
Let’s break the silence and talk about what this seismic shift means for entrepreneurs and startups today and in the next decade. The old playbook of jumping from one financing round to the next is dead. Entrepreneurs must adapt to new ways of scaling and prepare for the new emotional rollercoaster ahead. Spoiler: no more popping champagne every 12-18 months after a fundraising win.

Who is Blue Collective?
We’re VC investors who like to do things differently than other VCs. We invest super early (earlier than other VCs) in great people (we don't care who you know or what school you went to) in ideas across every category and industry you can think of (we don't invest behind silly futuristic themes). We also can't stand the lack of transparency and inauthenticity that is too often a hallmark of the VC world. We’re here to tell it like it is and in the process (we hope) help entrepreneurs like yourself.
Join us for a morning of unfiltered conversation (and filtered coffee). Let’s face reality together.
