About Event

You’re invited! We're collaborating with Laufey's Book Club to celebrate the release of Laufey’s album “Bewitched: The Goddess Edition” which features 4 brand-new songs. Laufey is currently on her sold-out North American tour, which includes two highly anticipated sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall on May 3 and 4.

Reading Rhythms is a series of welcoming reading parties designed to make it easy for people to gather and read socially. For this special event, we're delving into the New York Times bestseller "The Midnight Library" by Matt Haig, as featured by the Laufey Book Club.

Prepare to immerse yourself in silent reading sessions set against the serene backdrop of Laufey's music. Indulge in Goddess-themed cocktails and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Enjoy intimate breakout sessions to forge new friendships with fellow book lovers, and engage in lively group discussions that explore the magical world of Laufey.

There will also be ‘Bewitched: The Goddess Edition’ vinyl & exclusive Laufey Book Club merch for purchase!

Don't miss this unique blend of reading and revelry—RSVP today to secure your spot!

In a world that can often feel devoid of interest and meaningful connection, we bring readers together to reconnect with our love of learning, to experience the wonder of beautiful venues and curated music, and to gather amongst all of the people who want to be in that very same room.

*no album purchase required for entry.

ABOUT THE LAUFEY BOOK CLUB

Books and storytelling have always been very important to Laufey, especially as a songwriter. In August 2022, Laufey decided to more openly share this passion with her fans by founding the Laufey Book Club. The book club provides an important secondary outlet for Laufey to communicate directly with her fanbase, share her inspirations and deepen the connection with the club members through shared discussion. Currently the Laufey Book Club is reading the New York Times bestseller The Midnight Library by Matt Haig for the month of April.

ABOUT LAUFEY

“My goal is to bring jazz and classical music to my generation through a more accessible road,” says Laufey (pronounced lāy-vāy). Since the September 2023 release of her GRAMMY-winning second album Bewitched, the composer, singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has proved how staying true to oneself can result in creating a space where people can find themselves.

Bewitched has been wildly successful around the world, winning the GRAMMY Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, appearing on multiple year-end best-of lists, sparking an immediately sold-out tour, setting a record for the biggest debut week by a Jazz album on Spotify, and reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Jazz charts. The Los Angeles-based, Icelandic-Chinese Laufey grew up between Reykjavik and Washington, D.C., and she studied cello at the Berklee College of Music. Her 2022 debut Everything I Know About Love introduced her “hopeless romantic” side, while Bewitched reflects her more mature outlook while writing about, as she puts it, “the magic and luster unique to youthful love.” In 2023 she also released A Night at the Symphony, a live album recorded with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra; she performed with the LA Phil, National Symphony Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra; she collaborated with artists like Beabadoobee and Norah Jones. Bewitched: The Goddess Edition, which adds four tracks to Laufey’s 2023 smash, is set for release April 26. The lead single “Goddess” is out now. Listen HERE.
