​What do frontline workers really want?

​80% of the global workforce are frontline workers with manufacturing being the third biggest industry amongst frontline industries, but what do we really know about frontline workers? What motivates them? How do they learn? What technology would they like to use at work?

​We do not know much because frontline workers have been not given the light of the day in the last decades as they have been seen as easily replaceable resources of little value. However, the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Global Labor Shortage have forced a change in mindset. Nevertheless, many - especially technology providers - still do not know how to reach their frontline users to better understand their needs and gain knowledge from frontline experts.
