Europe’s Energy Moment
Europe faces a unique complex challenge today: securing affordable energy after the Russia-Ukraine shock, hitting 2030 decarbonization targets, and reindustrializing a bloc that’s fallen behind global peers.
At the same time, in today’s world, there’s a new narrative around the energy transition. It’s no longer black and white, brown or green — instead, a complex, interconnected system is shaped by mixed signals, competing incentives, and uneven outcomes.
In this London Climate Action Week session, we’ll explore a question at the intersection of these forces: Can Europe take (or retake) a lead role in the global energy transition—and what forces will drive or hinder that ambition?
