About this event

In this episode, Alex Saiz Verdaguer, Founder and CEO of MONEI, and Dmitriy Nevzorov, Chief Technology Officer of MONEI, explore EURM, the euro-pegged stablecoin developed by Spanish fintech MONEI, and its recent successful testing within Spain’s Regulatory Sandbox, supervised by the Bank of Spain and the Secretaría General del Tesoro y Financiación Internacional.

Launched as a pilot in January 2024, EURM enables euro transfers through 1:1 pegged tokens and was tested over four months in a controlled environment. We discuss how MONEI validated the token’s registration, issuance, transfer, and redemption flows—all without relying on public blockchain infrastructure or external providers.

You'll also hear about:

  • What makes EURM unique among euro-denominated stablecoins;

  • Insights from the Sandbox testing phase, including system performance under various load conditions;

  • MONEI’s plans to launch EURM to market and comply with MiCA by obtaining an EMI license;

  • Potential use cases for programmable, real-time payments—like micro-payments, on-demand salary disbursements, and ERP-triggered bonuses.

We also dive into MONEI’s broader mission to digitize payments for SMEs and freelancers through a unified platform supporting over 40 payment methods.

Don’t miss this deep dive into one of Europe’s most advanced fintech experiments in programmable money.
