About Event

Celebrate a year of Launch Pad's innovation, collaboration, and growth at our Year End Showcase. This isn’t just an event — it’s a reunion for our Launch Pad community, where alumni, mentors, and prospective members come together to explore our current projects and connect with like-minded students and professionals.

We've got events, presentations, a photo-booth, food and beverages!

Project Presentations:
Our teams have been hard at work all year, and we’re excited to share the projects we are working on; from our designers, developers and leads.

  • ForumAI:
In collaboration with UBC’s CS department, this full-stack application reimagines office hours management. By integrating LLM-enabled knowledge bases, dynamic Q&A forums, and efficient queue systems, it aims to support both individual learning and group collaboration.

  • Clinical Logging Software:
Designed for medical students and surgical residents using FlowLeaflets’ logbooks, this tool automates the tedious process of digitizing clinical records. Leveraging OCR and potentially custom ML models, it converts handwritten logs into standardized, exportable digital formats—saving time and reducing errors.

  • Volunteer Management System:
Tailored for the BC Brain Wellness Program, this platform centralizes volunteer workflows. With features like automated shift scheduling, personalized volunteer and admin profiles, and a comprehensive class catalog, it offers a seamless solution for managing day-to-day operations and improving user experiences.

  • Built-in Localization as a Service:
This innovative project provides both an NPM and a PIP package, empowering developers to seamlessly integrate internationalization and localization into microservice architectures. Featuring a central API for managing persistent data, auto translation generation, and streamlined authentication, it enables software to adapt effortlessly to multiple languages and cultural norms—making global development more accessible.
