If you are a transit user currently, are coming back to taking transit after the pandemic, or considering driving less and looking at options, tune in to this session to learn about local public transit services offered by ETS including DATS (Disabled Adult Transit Service). At this session you will get an overview of the new bus network and On Demand Transit services that were launched this spring on the regular transit system, and basics about DATS. We will also cover accessibility, safety and security features on transit, how to get transit route and schedule information, and what’s on the horizon for ETS in the near future.
About the Speakers: Vicki has worked for ETS in a variety of roles in the past twenty-two years before moving into her current role as Accessible Transit Coordinator. Vicki’s work includes providing mobility training and orientation on public transit to individuals and groups, with a focus on seniors and people with disabilities. Vicki is herself an exclusive user of public transit in her everyday life.
Jason Magee is the Acting Team Lead for Paratransit Community Relations (DATS) and has been with DATS for seven years as a Communications Planner. He enjoys helping Edmontonians with diverse needs find their way into the community using transit, and is happy to answer any questions you may have about DATS.
