Willimantic Urban Forest Equity Stakeholder Workshop
Join us!
Trees help protect our homes and communities from extreme heat, flooding, and pollution. Every neighborhood should have access to the many benefits that trees and green spaces provide, yet why do some neighborhoods have less trees than others? How do we get trees in to neighborhoods that need them the most?
You're invited to a 2-hour online workshop to discuss tree equity in your community. The workshop will bring together local stakeholders to evaluate and improve accessibility of groundbreaking urban forestry resources while envisioning collaborative solutions for local challenges.
Who can join?
This workshop is designed for non-profit, municipal, or agency leaders, staff, and volunteers who are interested in learning about urban forestry. Our goal is to discuss how to improve the accessibility of current grant opportunities and resources for your municipality / organization.
Hosted by UConn Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, UConn Extension - Urban & Community Forestry Program, and CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection
