Garden of Us
Garden of Us is more than an event — it’s an invitation to community. A space where art, food, and community come together to imagine and build a future rooted in care, creativity, and collective resilience.
We’re calling on artists, educators, youth, local chefs, gardeners, and community members to join us for an interactive 4-hour gathering — a vibrant showcase of the Art for Climate Resilience program.
During this event, you will experience:
A fireside chat with experts in Indigenous wisdom, ecological justice, and social permaculture with guest speakers Carol Burton from Urban Harvest, Ed Pettitt from Friends of Columbia Tap, and Alicia Fontenot.
Learn how creative exploration activities can be designed to deepen our connection with the land and each other.
Experience a collective visioning exercise — imagining what’s possible when we co-create with purpose.
A closing session led by Ryn Delpapa — weaving it all together and inviting you into the next steps.
Garden of Us is about participation — and we want you in the mix. Whether you see yourself as a local Houston or virtual program host, volunteer, steering committee member, or co-designer, this is your chance to help shape something powerful.
Come ready to share, imagine, and dig in. Let’s plant the seeds of community-rooted climate resilience — and watch them grow.
The cost of tickets goes to offset event expenses.
