About Event

Join Caffeinated Capital on February 28th in Lower Manhattan for a fireside chat with Demetrios (Dimi) Kellari on What it takes to build next-generation infrastructure in America.

Dimi Kellari is a former MIT, CERN, and Airbus engineer who incubated and invested in next-generation energy, mobility, waste, and water platforms at Google X and Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners. Dimi currently leads systems and integrations at Cavnue, a startup he incubated at Sidewalk Infra that creates roads purpose-built for autonomous vehicles.

In this fireside chat, Dimi will share lessons on starting, scaling, and investing in companies modernizing and decarbonizing America’s infrastructure. Beginning with his experience founding a community solar company a decade ago, we will cover topics like:

  • setting an incubation up for success: rapidly evaluating technology readiness, finding the right markets, and hiring a founding team

  • capitalizing an infrastructure startup for success: leveraging equity and project financing, financing first-of-a-kind projects, and managing investor expectations

  • navigating partnerships with large entities like governments, OEMs, and energy majors

Doors open at 5:30 PM. The fireside chat begins at 6:00 PM, with networking beginning around 7:00 PM.

The event will take place in lower Manhattan - the exact location will be provided upon RSVP. We have limited space, so please request to RSVP on the event page.
