Distruptive Tech - Observability In Action
Details:
Join us for a fulfilling evening at Disruptive Tech London!
We're bringing together experts to dive deep into the latest trends of Observability. This month, we are sponsored by Flagsmith!
Flagsmith is a company that provides an open-source, feature flag management platform.
While you learn and network, don't forget to treat yourself to some delicious food. It's the perfect blend of learning, great food, and connecting with fellow tech enthusiasts.
Mark it in the calendar for an evening filled with learning and enjoyable interactions.

Information on the Speakers:
Matt Elwell - Matt is the CTO at Flagsmith. After years of agency work as a Software Engineer, Matt now spends his time building Flagsmith as the CTO, running the engineering team.
Meryem Arik - Meryem is a recovering physicist and the co-founder and CEO of Doubleword (formally TitanML) - Doubleword's enterprise AI model deployment platform Enterprise teams deploy any model to their secure environment in one-click instead of sending data to 3rd party models. She has been recognised as a technology leader in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
Information on the talks:
Talk 1 - In this talk, we'll cover the ways you can use feature flags with observability tools as part of an open source stack. We'll talk about connecting tools like Flagsmith with Grafana to connect feature flag data with observability dashboards for maximum visibility. We'll also discuss OpenFeature, an open source CNCF incubating project for open standards in feature flagging. OpenFeature is akin to OpenTelemetry, and adoption is growing rapidly among engineers—it just took KubeCon by storm!
Talk 2 - As large language models move from research labs into production environments, the challenges of scaling them efficiently and reliably have come into sharp focus. In this talk, we’ll explore how observability becomes a critical enabler—not just for debugging—but for effective scaling. Drawing on real-world lessons from building and operating LLM infrastructure, we’ll cover the blind spots that often lead to performance bottlenecks, underutilized hardware, and inconsistent user experiences. We’ll share practical strategies for achieving visibility across model performance, request routing, and GPU utilization, and explain how the right observability stack can unlock faster iteration, better cost control, and more predictable deployments. Seeing clearly is the first step to scaling smartly.
