Conscious Masculinity | Reclaiming the Modern Man
This is a course created by men, for men, designed to fuel transformation—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
In a world where the traditional model of masculinity has been shaken, Conscious Masculinity offers a grounded and powerful response. It's the practice of showing up with purpose, presence, and self-awareness in every aspect of life—from how we move and eat to how we love, lead, and connect.
Today, more men than ever are facing rising rates of depression, anxiety, and disconnection. Many feel lost—confused by mixed messages about who and what a man should be. This course is a reset. A reconnection. A reclamation.
We offer a safe, supportive, and growth-oriented space for men to explore their masculine identity with intention. Through open dialogue and embodied practice, we'll dive into:
The evolving journey of the male body and how to support it with optimal nutrition, mobility, and sexual health
The cultivation of inner strength through yoga, breathwork, core activation, and strength training
The grounding practices of meditation and emotional regulation, so we can lead from within
Brotherhood, accountability, and the shared path of rising together
This isn't about returning to an outdated version of manhood—it's about evolving into something deeper, more conscious, and unapologetically strong.
Step into your full power. Join the movement of men who are redefining what it means to thrive.
Instructor: David Gemme – Guiding Men Back to Their Power
David Gemme is a man of many paths, and he walks them all with heart. A 27-year resident of Lake Tahoe, David brings over 30 years of experience as a yogi, wellness explorer, and lifelong student of the human experience. Equal parts nutritional enthusiast, business leader, adventurer, and builder, David is deeply committed to growth—not only his own, but that of the men around him.
With a grounded love for both the sacred and the real (yes, he's a yogi who still enjoys a good beer), David is stepping boldly into the role of teacher, guide, and brother. He's partnering with a group of powerful men—trusted peers and fellow practitioners—to offer this transformational course as a catalyst for the male awakening already stirring in the community.
David's mission is clear: to help men reclaim their authentic power by activating the strength of their bodies, unlocking the love in their hearts, and sharpening the clarity of their minds. His approach blends physicality with presence, and introspection with action.
Yoga & Movement lead by Mike Richardson
Mike Richardson is a dedicated yoga practitioner who began his personal practice in 2001 and started teaching in 2008. As the owner of alpenflow and the castro room, Mike has created spaces that foster transformation and authentic connection.
Rooted in the Bhakti tradition, Mike's teaching emphasizes devotion while delivering a vigorous practice. His approach has been shaped by his primary teachers—Rusty Wells, Janet Stone, and Stephanie Snyder—whose guidance continues to influence his development as both practitioner and teacher.
Mike's classes reflect his authentic self: powerful, heart-centered, and grounded in tradition while remaining accessible to modern practitioners. Students value his balance of technical precision with spiritual depth in a practice that strengthens the body and nourishes the soul.
Through his studios, Mike has established community spaces that embody his vision of yoga as a transformative practice that extends beyond physical postures to embrace the full spectrum of human experience.
