Founders In The Wild - *NEW PLAN [A National Arboretum Hike]
**UPDATE: Plans are still on tomorrow, but as all good founders know- sometimes we need to PIVOT.
In the interest of keeping everyone warm and dry, we will be shifting our meeting point to Red Bear Brewing Co. @ 209 M St. NE around 11am. The weather forecast is showing sleet and wintry mix (not cute snowday-style snow), and as excited as we were for our normal hike "in the wild," we want to make sure everyone has a positive experience with FITW!
**Our National Arboretum hike is still on the books and we'll keep fingers crossed for slightly better weather next month!
Founders In The Wild Arboretum Hike Moved To March
Founders In The Wild is back in 2025! Our third Founders Hike will be at the beautiful National Arboretum. Come join our community of founders, investors, and inspiring entrepreneurs from DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
We’ll be doing a light picnic at our meeting point before we enjoy a moderate 1.5- to 2-hour stroll through the arboretum— easily accessible for both our drivers and public transportation crew.

The closest metro stop is the Potomac Ave. stop on the Orange, Blue, and Silver lines. From there, hop on a short bus ride to the Bladensburg Rd. NE & #1600 stop and enjoy a brief walk to find us at the meetup spot.

The best parking option is at the National Grove of State Trees
If the above lot is full, try either of the below options:
Parking at the Visitor Center (10 minute walk to our meeting point)
Parking at the New York Avenue Lot (20 minute walk to our meeting point)
As always, since parking spaces may be limited we recommend carpooling if possible!

11:00AM - 12:15PM: Meet at the National Grove of State Trees for a light picnic before starting our hike
12:15PM - 2:15PM: Short hike to the overlook at Mt Hamilton
2:30PM - 4:00PM: Those who choose to join, we'll be grabbing drinks and relaxing after our hike at the nearby Wunder Garten
