Young galleries in Schöneberg and a special new venue: Juliet Kothe guides visitors through exhibitions that explore the body, desire, memory, materiality, and social projections. At Schiefe Zähne, Phung-Tien Phan presents sculptural assemblages, IKEA dinosaurs, and painterly urban backdrops that are situated between consumer critique, identity, and overwhelm. Not far from there, Galerie Molitor transforms its space into a fragile universe of care, trauma, and transformation through new video, photo, and object works by Diane Severin Nguyen. On Kurfürstenstraße, Heidi reflects with Benjamin Lallier on ideals, clichés, and the illusion of the “good life.” In the same building, KOW presents intimate Xerox works by Hudinilson Jr. on queer self-positioning in repressive 1980s Brazil. A detour leads to a converted gas station, Die Tankstelle, now home to Pace and Judin, with the exhibition Reverse Alchemy (Dubuffet, Basquiat, Nava) and a selection of drawings by Tom of Finland. At Galerie Noah Klink, Sebastian Jefford navigates between toy aesthetics, material research, and fiction with objects, drawings, and sculptures. Finally, at ChertLüdde: Álvaro Urbano translates the heterotopias of Tiergarten into installation spaces, while Patrizio di Massimo explores identity, desire, and performance through theatrical portraits. Some of the artists will also be present.
