About Event

A One-Day, Non-Residential, In-Person Only Retreat with Margo McLoughlin

Description:

In this one day retreat, storyteller and teacher Margo McLoughlin will guide participants towards a deeper appreciation and understanding of spiritual friendship and the refuge of Sangha.

The Buddha is famously quoted as saying, "Spiritual friendship is the whole of the holy life." It is by finding good companions, and walking the path together, that we grow in wisdom and compassion.

Likewise, when faced with uncertainty about how to contribute in a changing world, we can refuse the distraction and isolation that results from a culture of consumption. Instead, we can nurture friendships of all kinds, weaving community connections wherever and however we can.

The day will include periods of sitting and walking meditation.
